Grind beans to a fine powder (consistency of table salt).

Tamp the powder in your porta filter basket until firm and level (using 30 pounds of pressure).

Water should be heated in machine to around 195-205 deg F.

Extract the espresso for around 25-30 seconds, yielding 2 ounces for a double shot (full shot glass).
